Earn Graduate Credit

Staff members may optionally earn college credit following my on-site training!

Credit is available through University of Massachusetts Global (UMass Global). University of Massachusetts Global is fully accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Staff members attending my one-day Classroom Management seminar or my one-day Differentiated Instruction / Student Engagement and Motivation seminar have the opportunity to earn up to FOUR graduate level professional development credits for each seminar.

Credits are awarded upon completion of follow-up practicum projects and payment of an additional fee. College credit registration forms with University of Massachusetts Global will be available at the conclusion of the training.

Frequently Asked Questions

The credit the participant will receive upon successful completion of the follow-up practicum is graduate level professional development semester credit. These are professional development units that are not part of a degree program, but are primarily used for professional advancement purposes such as salary increment steps and recertification.

It is the responsibility of the individual participant to verify with his or her district or state prior to enrollment whether University of Massachusetts Global (UMass Global) credit will be acceptable or not.

One semester credit equals 1.33 quarter credits.

Participants who request cancellation in writing within thirty (30) days of course enrollment will receive a refund less a $20 processing fee. If registering at the training, the date of enrollment is the date of the training. If the participant mails the enrollment form directly to UMass Global, the date of enrollment is the day UMass Global receives the form.

As follow-up to the seminar, the participant must develop at least three practical projects per credit based on the training presentation. Projects should be designed to be implemented in the participant's program (e.g. worksheets, lesson plans, center activities, or implementation plans). A three-page paper per credit is required, graded A–C or No Pass. Full rubric details are available on the UMass Global website.
